For as long as artist Mindy Robertson can remember, she has been designing, creating, and painting.  Working with various mediums she has painted everything imaginable from furniture and walls to fabric and apparel.  Then the desire to encourage and inspire people with her art led her to incorporate inspirational words and quotes into the designs.  Her first pieces were wooden boxes that she embellished with wire, beads, painted designs, and of course, her words and quotes.  And so it would be that every box "chatters", each one having something special to say along with its very own personality.  These "chatterboxes" successfully launched a business that not only creates works of art, but aspires to give a little inspiration and encouragement along the way as well.

Today Mindy's chatty creations keep growing.  Hard at work in her North Carolina studio, she continues to paint and create her boxes and many specialty items sold in various unique venues throughout United States, as well as her own website.  She has expanded her business to include custom Celebration Boxes and Crosses, Mixed Media Paintings, Assemblages and Sculptures, as well as Altered Images Photography.  Her work can also be found in collections in both the U.S. and abroad.

One of the most important things to Mindy in her work is that each Chatterbox product, like each person who gives it a home, is one of a kind.  A unique voice, personality and a huge measure of fun must be a part of all her art.  Her hope for every piece she creates is for it to be the vehicle by which people can say something... about themselves, to another, or to the world!  Chatterboxes is about celebrating life, sharing a story, inspiring, encouraging, and ultimately bringing smiles.  For Mindy, art is at its best when it is out loud!
